PeerGuardian Überblick
PeerGuardian ist eine datenschutzorientierte Firewall-Anwendung. Sie blockiert Verbindungen zu und von Hosts, die in riesigen Blocklisten (tausende oder Millionen von IP-Bereichen) aufgeführt sind. Ihr Ursprung liegt darin, aggressive IPs zu blockieren, während Sie P2P verwenden.

If anyone is interested, 1.6b2 works fine for me on a Macbook Pro running Mavericks (10.9.5). I could not get any other version to work. It's available at sourceforge.net. You'll need to populate it with lists for it to work properly. I get mine from iblocklist.com. It's also useful to add lists from ipdeny.com for hostile nations. I'll let you deduce who you should add. (Hint: one in particular uploads a lot of bogus software to this site with fake reviews galore.)

This is very interesting. Is this truly being updated again or is this just a very dated package? Also any information on the supported OS versions for this release? The SF page itself is rather sparse it seems for this information.

p.s. If it still doesn't seem to work after this update, try "Quit Helpers", "Quit" and then relaunch. The kernel extension version should be 1.1.13:

Fails to load kext with OS X 10.8.3
Uninstall/reinstall fails.
Anyone have it working after 10.8.3 upgrade?

Extremely useful piece of software that works on Mountain Lion. I wish there were more of this type of app to choose from, but at least, we have this one. And yes, it works as advertised, if you try and figure out how it works. Don't install, sit back and expect it to do the rest.
